As it happens every year, the MTV Video Music Awards were not only full of artists who wanted to take home an award, but also celebrities who sought to stand out with their impressive outfits.

Anitta , for example, stole glances with a daring red dress from the house of Schiaparelli. She also wore D’Accori shoes and jewelry from Tiffany and Co.

In addition to the Brazilian, there was a large Latin presence on the black carpet, with personalities that included J Balvin (accompanied by his couple, the model Valentina Ferrer), Evaluna Montaner and Camilo.

Many artists opted for designs with dark tones. One of the first to arrive at the Prudential Center in New Jersey was Lizzo, wearing a stunning navy blue Jean Paul Gaultier dress, as well as evening gloves and lipstick of the same color.

And always known for his risky outfits, Lil Nas X went through the carpet with a voluminous design.

The rapper and singer, who won Video of the Year in the last edition for “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”, showed off his look before the cameras of the event.

“It’s (an outfit) heavy and it’s by Harris Reed. It is something fresh and new. I feel incredible,” said the American, according to the People portal.

Taylor Swift was another celebrity who became the center of attention thanks to a beaded dress that she apparently used without underwear.

The model Ashley Graham, the singers Bebe Rexha, Avril Lavigne and the members of the Italian group Måneskin were others who opted for black outfits.

The pre-show of the ceremony included musical performances by Saucy Santana, Yung Gravy and Dove Cameron, who sang their popular songs “Boyfriend” and “Breakfast”.
