The lucky man bought the ticket at a Walmart in the city of Altavista, Virginia. The player said that he was attracted by the appearance of the ticket, which he thought was not pretty at all, as reported on the ABC 8 news portal.

“I said: ‘Man, that ticket is ugly! I won $500 dollars on this game before, so I kept playing,” Craig told Lottery officials.

Craig waited until his birthday to collect his prize and now plans to use his winnings for his retirement savings.

As you can see, sometimes even the strangest of reasons to buy a lottery ticket could make you hundreds of thousands of dollars richer.
