canelo-continues-justifying-his-last-defeat:-“bivol-didn't-beat-me-because-he's-better-than-me,-i-just-ran-out-of-air”

The Mexican boxer Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez continues talking about his defeat against the Russian Dmitry Bivol, and now he assures that he did not lose because his rival was better than him, but because of other factors, which in his opinion, should not have happened .

Although the man from Guadalajara affirms that he does not make these statements as excuses in relation to the defeat against Bivol, he justifies that Bivol is not better than him, and that he learned from that failure to be stronger in others aspects.

In an interview with TUDN, Canelo said that during the fight he did not fail any. “I’ve always said that if they beat me it’s because they’re better than me, but the truth is that they didn’t beat me because they’re better than me, I just ran out of breath because of things that happened in camp,” Canelo said.

“I had to lose that night, many things happened that shouldn’t have happened, I take that as learning so that it doesn’t happen again, you learn from everything”, he added.

The Mexican said he is excited to return to the ring, this time to face Gennady Golovkin.

“Obviously the defeat hurt me at first, one is not prepared to lose. It still hurts, but these are things that happen, just like when we win we celebrate, when we lose as men we have to accept it. It had to happen and move on“, sentenced Canelo.
