mookie-betts-and-nathaniel-lowe-became-major-league-players-of-the-week

The Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder, Mookie Betts, was proclaimed this Monday as the Player of the Week in the Major League National League, and the Texas Rangers first baseman, Nathaniel Lowe received the equivalent exaltation in the League Americana.

Betts became the best in his league by hitting .300 with four home runs and seven runs RBIs in the seven games he played in last week.

The star right fielder accumulates a batting average of .281 in the season with 29 home runs and 281 RBIs.

With his numbers, Betts is shaping up to reach the Most Valuable Player award for the second time. The first time he conquered it in 2018 in the American League, when he played for the Boston Red Sox, who led until the World Series.

Lowe, winner of the weekly award in the American League, has stood out in a poor season for the Texas Rangers.

The first baseman for the Texan team hit for an average of .385 with four full-round hits and added 11 runs batted in, in the six games he was on the field of play.

With this performance Lowe reached a batting average of .300 with 29 home runs and 66 laps taken to the plate.

For Betts this was his fourth choice for the weekly award, while for Lowe it was his first.
