Real Madrid showed this Monday in a spectacular video the progress of the new Santiago Bernabéu, five days before the white club’s stadium will once again host a match, against Real Betis, precisely the last team that visited it on last 15 of May.

It has been more than three months of intense work to continue advancing in the remodeling of the Santiago Bernabéu. The white club showed it in a video that shows that the Madrid Coliseum is now ready to host games again.

With a new lawn, the gigantic museum beam has already been raised, from 106 meters in length and 530 tons in weight , which will allow the extension of the virtual museum of the stadium, in days in which the workers are already placing the beams and the covering elements, stainless steel slats on the roof, as shown by Real Madrid from a drone view, which already give a new identity to the madridista stadium.

A total of 122 ‘ribs’ form the metallic structure of the new façade of the stadium, the one baptized as the “new skin” of the Bernabéu that is being installed this week to present the best possible appearance on Saturday, on the fourth league matchday. As of today they are already 200 the final slats, informs the club, which have been placed on the stadium envelope.

In addition, on the east side, the work on the third amphitheater has already been completed and six immense trays have also been placed into which the playing field will be divided so that it can be preserved in the greenhouse built underground after the games with a depth greater than 25 meters in its six underground levels.

Each tray weighs 1.500 tons with the topsoil and grass already installed. Up to 122 grass rolls from 15 meters long by 1.2 wide were placed at the Bernabéu, for a total of 7.490 square meters of a new rug that was placed in 44 hours so that it arrives in good conditions at the start of the season 2022/23.
