bad-news:-justin-verlander-was-sent-to-the-disabled-list-by-the-houston-astros

The Houston Astros have received bad news in a new week on the eve of starting the last month of the regular season. All this after it was announced that Justin Verlander was placed on the 15-day disabled list due to a calf injury.

However, despite the fact that the right-hander will miss at least two weeks into the campaign, the high command of the Houston Astros considers it bad news as it is their best arm in their rotation, but they also see it as positive because the damage could have been much worse.

It is important to note that the experienced pitcher was removed from last Sunday’s commitment when he was completing his third inning with only a couple of hits and six prescribed batters.

Verlander is having a very successful campaign, so much so that he is considered one of the favorites to win the American League Cy Young Award due to his dominance in each of his starts with the sidereals.

So far, the right-hander has a record of (16-3) in 24 starts with an ERA of 1.84, being the leader of both lines in the American League. Numbers that have impressed the entire baseball world, since he is coming off Tommy John surgery.

Finally, the Houston Astros will have to continue without their best pitcher for the next two weeks and thus tie up once and for all the pennant of the American League West and as if that were not enough, Verlander will be able to rest his throwing arm a little more.
