A 70 year old Florida player claimed a $3.5 million jackpot winning lottery ticket months after he was the draw, according to the Florida Lottery. But he was not the only one who took a good amount of tickets, since the store that sold him the ticket took nothing less than $30 one thousand dollars commission.
David James, of the city of Riviera Beach, claimed the winning ticket for the grand prize of the drawing held on May 2022.
James chose to receive his earnings as a one-time payment and in cash that consisted of about $2.2 million dollars, after paying taxes, as reported on CBS Miami.
According to information from News Channel 8, James purchased his jackpot winning ticket at the Publix store located across the street 228 Blue Heron Boulevard East in the city of Riviera Beach.
This location of the Publix chain store is the one that will receive the additional commission of $30 one thousand dollars just for selling the winning ticket.
The next drawing in Florida Lotto will be held today Wednesday 31 August 2022 at 11: 15 pm ET. , and has an estimated jackpot of $7.100 million dollars.
