del-taco-will-now-sell-sandwiches-inspired-by-mexican-tortas

Del Taco is adding three sandwiches inspired by Mexican tortas to its menu. To celebrate the launch of the Epic Tortas, the brand will no longer be Del Taco and will be called “Del Torta”, the change in social networks will be temporary.

The cakes will be available in the restaurants across the United States starting September 1. Customers who are members of the rewards club can purchase them from this Tuesday 31 in August.

The cakes are a popular Mexican preparation made with a bolillo, telera or other white bread open in half, spread with mayonnaise, beans and stuffed with some product of animal origin, usually includes vegetables such as lettuce, tomato, avocado and chili.

Del Taco points out that their tortas are prepared at the moment with fresh ingredients on a freshly toasted 7-inch bun, there are options of meat chicken or beef steak, lettuce, cheese and sauce. Sauces include ranchero sauce, house-made guacamole, and fresh pico de gallo.

Although Del Taco notes that the new sandwiches are inspired by Mexican tortas, the Epic Tortas are more similar to los hot dogs.

Three new Del Taco cakes:

Carne Asada & Queso Epic Torta: it is stuffed with freshly roasted roast beef; house cheeses, creamy white cheese and fresh cheddar cheese; and pico de gallo.

Chicken BLT Epic Torta: stuffed with marinated chicken grilled, crispy bacon and topped with creamy ranch sauce, house-shredded fresh cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, and pico de gallo.

Crispy Chicken & Guac Epic Torta: Filled with two crispy chicken strips topped with creamy ranch sauce, fresh homemade guacamole, fresh shredded cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce and pico de gallo.

To invite customers to try their new tortas, Del Taco has two offerings. Free delivery every weekend in September on orders placed through the Del Yeah! app. or from your website. Rewards members can get two cakes for $10 from September 9th to October 2nd.

With launch of sandwiches, in addition to changing to “Del Torta” across all of its social media platforms, Del is rebranding one of its first remodeled-style Fresh Flex in Lakewood, California by changing all of its signage to Del Torta.
