Madonna has reached another great milestone in her musical career. The Queen of Pop, of 64 years, has become the first woman who has placed an album in the top 10 on Billboard 90 in each decade since the early 1980s.
Since her self-titled debut album by 1983, the pop superstar has been at the top of 10 in the 80, 90, 2000, 2010 and now, officially, in the 2020.
His new remix compilation, ‘Finally Enough Love’, debuted at number eight on the September 3 chart.
According to Billboard, Madonna is the tenth artist to obtain this distinction, however, she is the first woman, since the other nine are all male solo artists or groups composed of men.
In the decade of 1980, the singer achieved a total of five top 10 on Billboard 200: ‘Madonna’, ‘Like a Virgin’, ‘True Blue’, the soundtrack of ‘Who’s That Girl’ and ‘Like a Prayer’.
Seven in the 90: ‘I’m Breathless: Music From and Inspired by the Film Dick Tracy’, ‘The Immaculate Collection’, ‘Erotica’, ‘Bedtime Stories’ , ‘Something to Remember’, the soundtrack of ‘Evita’ and ‘Ray of Light’.
Six in the decade of 2000: ‘Music’, ‘GHV2: Greatest Hits Volume 2’, ‘American Life’, ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor’, ‘Hard Candy’ and ‘ Celebration’.
In the decade of 2010 he had four: ‘Sticky Sweet Tour’, ‘MDNA’, ‘Rebel Heart’ and ‘Madame X ‘.
Of those 23 top 10, nine reached number 1: ‘Like a Virgin’, ‘True Blue’, ‘Like a Prayer’, ‘Music’, ‘American Life’, ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor’, ‘Hard Candy’, ‘MDNA’ and ‘Madame X’.
When talking about his new album with Harper’s Bazaar magazine, the music legend a recently revealed, “I called this album ‘Finally Enough Love’ because, after all, love is what makes the world go around. It is also representative of one of my greatest loves in life, which is dancing. I love to dance and I love to inspire people to dance, so with 50 number one dance hits, that’s a lot of love to share.”
