A man from the province of Ontario found a ticket that he had forgotten in his car, and it turned out that it was awarded a good amount of money. Chris Leggatt, the resident player of the city of Schomberg, has been playing the lottery regularly for about two decades.
“My favorite games are Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49 and Proline”, he said.
One day, the man from 46 years ago you noticed a lottery ticket in the cup holder of your car. So he opened the Ontario lottery app to see if he had won and scanned the ticket.
It was then that Leggatt discovered that he had won the second Lotto Max prize which was $60,828.60 Canadian dollars in the August 2 drawing (approximately $53,828.46 dollars).
At that time, the player was accompanied by a friend from work.
“My colleague heard the Big Winner sound and said, ‘Are we rich?’ I showed him the screen and said, ‘I don’t know about you, but I am!’” Chris laughed.
The Big Winner sound is the noise the app makes when someone scans a winning ticket.
When Leggatt returned to work, he shared the big news with his manager and made sure to invite everyone at work for coffee the next day to celebrate.
While collecting her prize at the lottery offices in Toronto, Leggatt said she will put her prize toward home renovations. He also plans to go on vacation to a beach this winter.
