Mexican citizen Evaristo Marín-Domínguez was sentenced by a federal judge in Tampa (Florida, USA) to almost 20 years in prison for methamphetamine trafficking and for possession of a shotgun and three pistols.
The middle judicial district of Florida reported this Thursday that Judge Steven D. Merryday imposed Marín-Domínguez, of 34 years old and a native of Michoacán (Mexico), a sentence of years and 7 months in federal prison for conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
Marín-Domínguez is had pleaded guilty in April of 2021.
According to court documents, the now convicted man sold a kilogram of methamphetamine to a police source in November 2020, after an informant in Mexico will provide you with the telephone number of Marín-Domínguez.
During a meeting after Before collecting payment, Marín-Domínguez told the source that he had recently delivered 8 kilograms of methamphetamine and had another kilograms available.
Marin-Dominguez was arrested in Florida’s Highlands County in 2021.
During a search of the residence of Marín-Domínguez, the police seized almost four kilograms of methamphetamine, about a quarter of a kilogram of heroin, a shotgun, a rifle, three pistols and various drug-related items.
This operation is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration with the assistance of various bodies of police of counties and cities of South Florida.
