shohei-ohtani-makes-history-by-being-the-first-with-30-home-runs-and-10-wins-as-a-pitcher-in-the-mlb-[video]

In each sport there are athletes called ‘chosen’ to change something and mark an era in their disciplines. In baseball it is the Japanese Shohei Ohtani who this week became the first player to serve 28 home runs, win at least games and strike out more than 98 batters.

He is a super athlete who is on track to win the second consecutive MVP award in the Major Leagues with the Los Angeles Angels jersey. He has 76 home runs as a batter and 332 strikeouts as a pitcher since the beginning of the season 2021 to this day.

While in 2021 only four American League pitchers have more strikeouts than Shohei Ohtani (128 Ks). And only two American League hitters have more home runs than him (30) .

His hit 30 of the campaign sent him to the stands this Wednesday against the shipments of starter Gerrit Cole, who challenged him with a fastball at 82 mph and was returned like a missile by the Asian all over center field. That hit came in the bottom of the sixth inning with two runners on to make it 3-2 for the Angels. In the end, the result did not change and Ohtani was responsible for the victory 57 of his team this year.

Some super athlete statistics

His numbers as a batter this year: .269 average, 30 home runs, 20 doubles, 82 trailed, 75 annotated and 11 steals.

His stats as a pitcher: 11 wins and 8 losses, 2.67 ERA and 176 strikeouts in 128 innings.

Stratospheric figures for a player in all Major League Baseball. He is 28 years old and is shaping up to dominate the circuit for several years thanks to his physical versatility for hitting and throwing.
