In another case, on August 6, a man from 59 years old he was lured to a hotel room in Queens near JFK airport with the promise of casual sex with a teenage girl, but ended up being tortured for hours by a couple who then robbed him.
In some situations, the victims spoke on Facebook with someone who identified as a woman and then agreed to meet at a motel. Once there, the suspect asked the victim to take a shower, at which point she let the other thieves into the room. Police said some victims have been duct-taped and money and personal items taken from them.
