A woman returning from a shopping spree was robbed by a pair of armed criminals who forced their way into her home and tied her up before stealing thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry, police said. New York.
Security footage captured the hooded suspects sneaking up behind the woman as she walked toward her home in the Rosedale neighborhood around 9 p.m. on 10 of August. When the resident opened the front door, the first man appeared with a firearm and told her, “Don’t yell, just open the door,” NBC News reported this Friday.
A second man appeared as the woman complied, letting the duo enter. They then beat her in the face and tied her hands and feet, authorities said.
Police said the men found a safe and took $12,10 dollars in cash and a few $12,000 in jewelry. They also stole the woman’s iPhone before running away.
The victim of 32 years old managed to free himself and get a look at the white Toyota the men fled in before disappearing, police said. She had mild swelling from the attack, but she refused medical attention.
