uruguayan-edinson-cavani-revealed-the-reason-for-his-signing-for-valencia:-“i-felt-something-special-when-they-talked-about-coming-here”

The Uruguayan Edinson Cavani was presented this Friday as a new player for Valencia in Spain, a team he joined as a free agent being one of the best signings in this market and from whom he admitted that he felt something special that led him to decide.

“I decided to come to this club because it’s a big one, that’s the first reason I decided to come here. I had Valencia in my head beyond the fact that football is what it is and that offers may appear. I know that it is also a great city and a hobby that lives football a lot, that is why I was feeling that the place to come to give everything was here”, he expressed.

Likewise, Cavani indicated that he is well in terms of his physique and that he really wants to start playing, however he clarified that he must first follow an adaptation plan due to because he didn’t do any type of preseason and he has to condition his body.

“Since my last participation in friendly matches with the national team I haven’t played again. I was training with the national team in Uruguay, but not training with a large group and not having that rhythm always takes a bit of getting into physical shape”, he explained.

“You know you have a career behind you, an age, an experience, and it creates expectations, but I just want to be on the field as soon as possible and get in good physical shape. I will do everything to give the club and the people back the confidence and the desire for me to be here”, added the former PSG and Manchester United player.

Despite his desire to step onto the pitch and start scoring goals, the striker did not want to give a date for his debut. “You have to respect a process in which coaches and doctors enter, but my will is to be there as soon as possible. That emotion and that desire to play can play against you”.

“The other day in the stands I really wanted to play, but we have to find the best way to be on the pitch as soon as possible. I’m here to work, to give my best and I work to be at my best, otherwise I would have gone home. I always like to compete to the fullest, I will work to be at my best”, he stated.
