New York Yankees sensation Venezuelan rookie Oswaldo Cabrera continues to write his story in the Major Leagues and this Wednesday he added another grain of sand after he was the hero by connecting a hit that drove in the winning run in the first game of a doubleheader against the Twins.
With the game tied 4-4 in the bottom of the inning , Cabrera landed at the plate with two in circulation and sent the ball to the left and center field pit to finally decree the victory of the Mulos.
With the hit the whole team came out to celebrate the victory and hand in hand with the established ones like Aaron Judge and Gleyber Torres were many who congratulated the young promise.
But not only was Cabrera the protagonist but Judge and Torres themselves also left their mark by hitting two home runs that at the time served for the Yankees’ first three runs.
The curious thing is that for ‘The Judge’ it was the home run 55 so far this season and there are already four games in a row in the ones he hits home runs.
He also beat the Dominican Alex Rodríguez, who billed 54 with the Yankees in 2007, as the right-handed hitter with the most home runs in New York team history.
