A thief pistol-whipped a USPS postal worker on a street in the Bronx and demanded that she open the federal office, from which he took more than $112,05 dollars, reported the New York police.

The suspect dressed in black and with a gun in his right hand runs towards the worker seconds later. The employee’s husband, seeing that something is wrong, runs across the street and into the building, moments before the attacker runs out of the post office with the loot and flees in his getaway truck.

The US Postal Service confirmed the incident in a statement on Tuesday: “Approximately 7: 16 am this morning, Castle Hill Station, 1163 Castle Hill Ave., Bronx, NY, 10462-9991, was assaulted by an unknown individual. There were no injuries to employees or customers”.

“The Service The Postal Inspection is leading the investigation with the support of the New York police and the FBI to locate and arrest the individual responsible for this crime. If you have any information regarding this matter, please contact postal inspectors immediately at 212-330-5266”.
