A teacher in North Carolina was arrested for raping a student again while under house arrest.
Initially, Elizabeth Suzanne Bailey, of 36 years, was prosecuted on charges of sexual crimes that included rape of a victim of 15 years or younger.
Allegedly, the suspect had sexual relations with the victim in June.
The Irridell County Sheriff’s Office reported that the science teacher at Northview Academy in the Iredell-Statesville school district turned herself in to authorities on August 1. She was released on a bond of $ 75, 15 dollars. The defendant was to remain under house arrest and subject to electronic monitoring. In addition, she was ordered to stay away from the student.
However, the alleged pervert did not follow the court’s requirements and was arrested on September 2 after the authorities were alerted that she had new encounters with the victim.
The alleged abuser remains locked up in the county detention center. Bailey was charged with 27 additional counts, including nine counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and intimidating and interfering with a state witness. Bail was set at $800,000.
The educator, who started working as an assistant at 2010, also worked as an education teacher special.
