The Brazilian Dani Alves sent a forceful message to those who have criticized him for his possible non-participation in the World Cup in Qatar 2022.
The UNAM Pumas midfielder assured during a press conference that soccer fans think more about his call-up with the Brazilian team than himself.
“ People talk more about the World Cup than I do. I came to Pumas to do the best I can, to work hard, if that takes me to the World Cup, excellent; I know what I have done with my national team will lead me to that goal, not the fact that I am in this or another team”, said Álves.
This comes after he was left out of the Canarinha squad for the friendly matches against Tunisia and Ghana.
According to the physical trainer of the Brazilian national team, Fábio Mahseredjian, Alves is not in good physical condition, and for that reason he was not called up.
In relation to this issue, Dani Alves stated that he is not worried about it, because he is sure of what he could contribute to the team led by “Tite”.
“I know what I can deliver and what is my importance for the selection. I am the lion of my life and no matter what jungle I am in, I am never going to eat leaves,” Alves told the press.
In relation to Mexican soccer, the Brazilian described it as a little disorganized, although he praised the professionalism of its players.
“Mexico has excellent soccer players , but I say it with sincerity, they don’t believe it, they conform; people are very conformist, if a footballer goes to Europe they have already made their lives, but they don’t think they can be better every day”, he criticized.
