The American artist Christina Aguilera today gave a little taste of her new album “La Luz”, presenting a preview of “No es que te extrastrena”, her next single, during a private session in Miami within the framework of the Conference Latin Music Week Billboard.
“I am excited to present my songs in Spanish to the Latin audience here, where I recorded them,” Aguilera told an audience of some 100 people, before whom he toured the trilogy of productions in Spanish that he is closing with “La Luz”.
“It’s not that I miss you”, the first The single from “La Luz” is a powerful heartbreak ballad in which the artist exhibits her wide vocal range. Although he did not say it directly, Aguilera hinted that the song is dedicated to his father Fausto Wagner Aguilera, a native of Ecuador.
The video, which was also presented, includes the artist dressed in white and with little makeup, surrounded by nature.
Aguilera revealed that the production will go on sale on October 7 and explained that “previous experiences” caused the strict security measures during the event, which included the requirement that those present put their cell phones in security bags, which prevented the recording of images of what happened.
Christina Aguilera’s trilogy of productions in Spanish began with “La Fuerza”, then came “La Tormenta” and now “La Luz”. Each part describes “the transitions in life and what it takes to manage them,” said the 41-year-old artist.
Dressed in black Wearing an eye-catching purple jacket, matching her nails, and with the platinum hair that has defined her for much of her career styled in two braids, Aguilera also shared the video for her smash hit “Pa Mis Chicas” by 2021, part of the first EP, “a song that has given me a lot of satisfaction”.
The song, in which the Argentineans Nathy Peluso and Nicki Nicole, plus Mexican-American Becky G, competes this year in the category of “Record of the Year” at the Latin Grammys. Aguilera has been nominated in a total of seven categories.
After declaring herself “proud” of her Latin roots and celebrating “the warmth” with the As Spanish-speaking fans received her music, the singer-songwriter with an Ecuadorian father admitted that she was “surprised to receive the honor of” being the recipient of the Latin Billboard “Spirit of Hope” award, created in honor of the late queen of Tex-Mex Selena Quintanilla.
The artist will receive the award during the annual Latin Billboards awards ceremony for Latin music, which will take place this Thursday at the University of Miami’s Wastco Center.
During the awards Christina Aguilera will perform her hit “La Reina” live for the first time, inspired by the iconic song “El Rey”, immortalized by Vicente Fernández.
