he-still-has-gas-left:-venezuelan-miguel-cabrera-hit-a-home-run-and-continues-to-increase-his-hall-of-fame-numbers-[video]

Detroit Tigers Venezuelan first baseman Miguel Cabrera showed this Wednesday that despite being in the last few years of his career in the Major Leagues, he still has yet to prove himself, shooting a daunting home run against the Kansas City Royals.

Just in the first inning, Cabrera hit a low pitch from Daniel Linch to put Detroit up by two runs, which was his fifth home run of the season.

Also said hit represented the home run number 507 of his career and with it he was two HR away from Gary Sheffield in the position 26 of the maximum home runs in MLB history.

Cabrera was in a home run slump, this being the first home run that the Hispanic dispatched since last 26 July.

As if that were not enough with both Wednesday’s RBIs Cabrera also edged out Baseball Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski to claim the solo spot on the list of all-time RBIs in MLB with 1,845.

Despite having its worst season of the last 20 average years I walk .95 with 95 hits on 107 meetings, the slugger continues to accumulate numbers that will make him say present in the future in the kingdom of baseball immortals.
