karim-benzema-makes-his-immediate-objective-with-real-madrid-clear-after-his-injury:-“i-want-to-play-on-sunday”

Karim Benzema officially returned to Real Madrid training this Wednesday after almost a month without playing games due to injury and in a recent interview he declared that he will not wait any longer to set foot on a pitch again and that he hopes to be able to play this Sunday.

In Real Madrid’s next game against Osasuna, Benzema hopes to be part of the team by showing that he is “very keen” to join the squad and try to continue maintaining the immaculate record of victories in this season owned by those led by Carlo Ancelotti.

“I have done a lot of physical work. I have not touched the ball. Today was my first training. These days I did a lot of running and strength inside the facilities. I also trained at home. I arrived a little late from the holidays and I didn’t have much time to do a good preseason. That is why I have done it now and I feel very good, ”argued the Frenchman about his physical condition.

In addition, about the national team break due to the FIFA date Benzema stressed that it helped him to continue recovering and to do pre-season work that he couldn’t do before due to the holidays.

“Time has passed and I’ve had time to do a mini pre-season. I feel very good, comfortable“, he stated.

Lastly, he spoke about how he saw the team during his absence, highlighting that Real Madrid has up to two competitive teams that have no difference between them.

“I have seen them full of victories, goals and character. We have a great team although it can be said that we have two teams. There is no difference between the people who start the game and those who enter with the game already started. I see the team very well”, he concluded.

Benzema has been out since September 6 at Celtic Park, where he had to be replaced by Eden Hazard due to an injury to the semitendinosus muscle and an overload in the quadriceps
