The Billboard Latin Music Awards 2022 are delivered today at the Watsco Center, with Mexicans Kate Del Castillo and Jaime Camil as hosts, as planned and after south Florida to avoid the direct impact of Hurricane Ian, which is expected to make landfall today in the southwest of this state.
The Puerto Rican, Bad Bunny, who this year has released the album “A summer without you”, stands out as the protagonist of this edition, in which it is present in 13 categories and aspires to win the main awards of the night , among them the awards for artist of the year, song of the year and album of the year.
Bad Bunny enjoys an unbeatable year in which he has also added ten nominations at the Latin Grammy Awards to be held in November in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA), and has placed his most recent album, which is completely in Spanish, at the top of the Billboard list for eleven weeks (non-consecutive) 200, a global ranking that measures the most successful albums in the US.
In the Latin Billboard awards, behind him is the Colombian Karol G as second favorite, with fifteen nominations, and then the Puerto Rican Farruko, with eleven, and his compatriot Rauw Alejandro, who is present in ten categories.
This year the awards will respond to 58 different categories that include, among others, the main musical genres in Latin Pop, Tropical, Latin Rhythm or Regional Mexican.
