A mine located in the municipality of Indé, in the Mexican state of Durango, collapsed, leaving one person dead and one more injured, the state governor, Esteban Villegas, reported this afternoon.
Civil Protection elements of the entity arrived in the area to provide immediate attention, according to the governor. According to the authorities, the event occurred shortly before noon, however, so far no further details about the incident have been shared.
The Durango State Civil Protection Coordination (CEPC) shared the first details of this accident, in which he reported the collapse of a gambusina mine. In the same message, the agency explained that more information on the incident would be provided.
