Mexican striker Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández reported this Thursday that he will renew his contract with LA Galaxy of Major League Soccer (MLS) for another year.
The attacker activated a clause of his contract in which his automatic renewal was negotiated to score 11 goals and play the 60% of game time.
“It is not potential. I have a clause that when I reach 11 goals and the 60% of the minutes played automatically renew the contract. I’m surprised they don’t know, my contract is public”, Hernández assured at a press conference.
‘Chicharito’ has had an incredible campaign with the Los Angeles team, achieving a total of 17 goals and two assists in 30 games played. Performance that has given him a nomination for the Best Player of the Season 2022.
Until To date, the one from Mexico is the fifth best scorer in the 2022 in MLS, and has led the LA Galaxy to fifth place in the Western Conference.
