The Macallan has a collection of Scotch whiskey bottles to celebrate the 60 years of James Bond in the movies. The special edition is made up of six bottles in individual packages; each bottle represents one of the six decades of 007 movies.

Bond is known for his love of martinis, although in recent years The Macallan has become his whiskey of choice. 007 is seen enjoying The Macallan Fine & Rare 1962 in the movie Skyfall by 2012 and in Specter he is seen drinking whiskey in his apartment.

The whiskey does not have 60 years. The Macallan does not share a statement on the drink, noting that it is an “age selection”. All the Scotch whiskey in the collection is identical in the six different bottles with illustrative design and a color that denotes the decade it represents.
James Bond has British roots and is of Scottish heritage. Bond was born to a Scottish father, Andrew Bond from Glencoe and a Swiss mother, Monique Delacroix from the Canton of Vaud. His family owned a Scottish estate called Skyfall Lodge in Glencoe, where the most famous actor in cinema spent much of his childhood.
The distillery notes that the Bond commemorative whiskey was created by The Macallan Master Whiskey Maker Kirsteen Campbell “to reflect the enduring character of James Bond, a force of nature defined by his Scottish heritage, who behaves with modesty and humility.”
This whiskey has 43.7 percent ABV, a nod to James Bond’s agent number, 007. It offers aromas of “fresh and vibrant notes of lemon and lime, a hint of sherbet, leading to sweet vanilla and coconut, with a hint of dried fig and raisins”.
Drinking it tastes like “orange zest and fizzy sorbet with a lemon freshness , soft oak and subtle spices of ginger, leading to a deep tart of dark chocolate, figs and baked apple with a drizzle of honey.” The finish of the Scottish drink is advertised as “sweet and long with complex layers”.
The Macallan James Bond 60th Anniversary will be released worldwide. Each bottle has a suggested retail price of $1,007, another nod to the 007.
Bottles are now launched at The Macallan Online Boutique, The Macallan Estate Boutique, the global network of national and travel retail boutiques, in premium and specialty bars and shops around the world. In the United States, the bottles will be sold until February of 2022.
