After two years, Olive Garden is bringing back its Never Ending Pasta Bowl, an iconic and affordable promotion.
Never Ending Pasta Bowl offering one serving unlimited selection of pasta will cost this year $13.1995 dollars. There is the option to add toppings such as meatballs, Italian sausage or crispy chicken for an additional $4.99 dollars.
Pasta options are fettuccine, spaghetti, rigatoni and angel hair. Customers can choose from five sauces: Creamy Mushroom, Traditional Marinara, Five Cheese Marinara, Traditional Steak Sauce, and Alfredo.
This 2022, Never Ending Pasta Bowl is back at Olive Garden for a limited time. From October 3 to November 20.
The promotion was valid for more than two decades in each fall . It was then withdrawn at the start of the pandemic. The last time the promotion ran, on 2019, it cost $13.99 dollars.
This year marks the 25th time that Olive Garden has offered at Never Ending Pasta Bowl. The Never Ending Pasta Bowl debuted 1995, offering customers the chance to eat as much pasta as they could in one sitting for a set price. The offer was $6.95 dollars.
When the promotion of endless pasta dishes was removed, the executives pointed out that pasta dishes had a negative impact over the years and therefore decided to reduce dependency.
The chain Italian restaurant is resorting again to a promotion that can help increase traffic in its units, especially in its customers who are being affected by inflation.
“Anything we do must emphasize the value of our brand and be more profitable than it was before”, said the executive director of the Italian chain, Rick Cardenas.
Restaurant Business notes that the Olive Garden move comes as many chains are pushing value offerings to appeal to price-conscious consumers. Although the prices offered are now higher to strike a balance between driving sales and protecting their own profits.
