Raúl González and Alan Tacher are two of the most beloved and respected faces on Hispanic television. Both host Univision’s morning show, Despierta América. An entertainment program that celebrates Latino culture and brightens up mornings through educational, news and entertaining content.

This contribution that they have been making for several years in Despierta América has earned them recognition in Washington by the United States Congress. People en Español magazine also confirmed the following: “Elyangélica González was also awarded for not ceasing her efforts to collaborate with those who need it most.”

It is also highlighted that their careers and their personal successes have made them an example for many. They have led them to be considered inspirational personalities for the Hispanic community residing in the United States.

Raúl described this moment as a “very beautiful” experience and “exciting”. Alan Tacher for his part told what else they were given in addition to the diplomas: “They gave us this recognition and a flag of the United States that was raised at some point in the capitol.” However, the Mexican pointed out that although all this was and is a great honor, it entails something else: “It is also a great responsibility.”

Through Instagram, Raúl González has been able to share with his audience much of what this recognition means to him, narrating the following:

“I arrived in this country on April 3 of 1994. It has been 28 years in which I have had experiences of all kinds. Each one of them has a special meaning in my life and they have left me a great lesson. Today, I live another one. With all humility and gratitude, I received recognition from the United States Congress within the framework of Hispanic Heritage month as one of the 40 most influential Latinos”.

“Congratulations to all my friends and colleagues who also received it. I dedicate it to my parents and obviously to all those who in one way or another have contributed to my growth and evolution. To you who see us every day at @despiertamerica and have made us part of your life and your family. Thanks to you”.

“Thank God for getting me up from every fall and for making me brave. #sumaleatuvida”, he concluded.

Alan Tacher also opened up to his audience on Instagram, not only exposing the images of the moment that will also remain etched in his memory, but also explained what all this means to him and begins by saying the following: “I want to share what happened with you… are one of those things you never expect and when they arrive you realize that we come to this world to help others”

“This recognition by the United States Congress, during the month of the Hispanic heritage, for the achievements and the help to our Hispanic community, through @despiertamerica it is a pride and an honor that I receive with great humility”.

The driver of Mexican origin accepts this award, but although he does so with happiness and Hispanic pride, he also assumes a commitment to his people and makes it public on his social networks, saying: “I promise to continue working so that our community Hispanic remains an unstoppable force in the history of this nation. Congratulations to my brothers @elyangelicanews and @raultvgonzalez and to all my other colleagues for also receiving this memorable welcome. I love”.
