This Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the annexation decree for four Ukrainian territories occupied by Russian troops during the invasion that began in February this year.
After To carry out this process and for it to be officially completed, Moscow would recognize the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia as Russian territory.
Before the signing, Putin gave a speech at the who assured that those who participate in the “special operation” -as Russia qualifies the military invasion- are “heroes”.
“There is nothing stronger than the determination of these people to return to their true historical homeland”, he emphasized.
The event was made official in the Georgievsky Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace.
“We are ready to return to the negotiating table with Ukraine, but we are not going to negotiate the annexation of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia. They are going to stay in Russia”, Putin pointed out.
