With goals from Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) beat Nice (2-1) at the Parc des Princes, to regain leadership in Ligue 1. The Argentine star converted his first free kick scored with the Parisian team.

Half an hour into the match, Messi kicked the ball from the crescent and sent it towards the right corner, with no options for Kasper Schmeichel, who didn’t even moved. That was enough for PSG to take the lead and reach the dominating locker room. He did not have as much arrival as other times. Neither noteworthy scoring chances.

After intermission, Nice came out decisively. On the first occasion, they exposed the local defense to achieve a draw. It was a cross into the area from the right by Youcef Atal that, after a chain error by the Parisian central defenders, reached the feet of Gaetan Laborde. He beat Gianluigi Donnarumma at minute 48.

Al 58, Christophe Galtier turned to Kylian Mbappe, who started from the bench, to avoid a stumble. It took 25 minutes for the world champion to take advantage of an assist from the right by Nordi Mukiele and beat Schmeichel.
