An unauthorized biography of celebrity chef and host Anthony Bourdain reveals the last messages he shared with his then-girlfriend, Italian actress Asia Argento, with whom he had intense long-distance fights before committing suicide in June 2018 at 61 years old, while in France.
Charles Leerhsen’s “Down and Out in Paradise” recounts intimate details of Bourdain’s last days in France, much of it taken from text messages and emails on his phone and laptop. The chef and writer was found dead in his hotel room.
In his last days, Bourdain, a man who traveled 61 days a year he was in Kaysersberg to film an episode of his series Parts Unknown with his friend, the French chef Eric Ripert.

Argento replies to Bourdain that he can no longer continue in his relationship with him and complains of his “idiotic possessiveness”, he tells him “call the damn doctor”. “I am the victim here”, wrote the actress.
“AB: It would have been so easy to have helped me here. I needed so little. But “f— you” is your answer”.
Bourdain points out to Argento his lack of affection and respect towards him, as well as his lack of empathy.
Asia Argentina reacts to the revealed texts
After the publication of “Down and Out in Paradise” where the last conversations between Bourdain and Asia Argento are revealed. The actress shared a photo on Instagram showing a shirt with a superimposed message that she also sent to the late chef at the time: “Stop breaking my balls.”
