A vehicle struck a food delivery person while he was on his electric bicycle in Brooklyn on Saturday night, leaving the cyclist hospitalized, authorities reported.
A black Infiniti van crashed into the delivery man at the intersection of Grand Street and Morgan Avenue in Williamsburg at about 6: 30 in the later, the New York police stated.
The cyclist sustained head and neck injuries, he was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, where he is expected to recover.
The victim’s overturned electric bicycle and the bag with the food scattered on the floor remained at the scene next to the Infiniti.
The front part of the car was damaged on the driver’s side, according to the photos.
The driver of the van remained at the site where the events took place after the crash, the police reported.
The authorities stated that there is an open investigation to determine the causes of the accident.
