The Future Investment Initiative Institute (FII) conducted a global survey of 130, citizens of 12 countries, in partnership with market research leader Ipsos. The survey revealed that the main priority for most people is the increase in the cost of living.
This priority is higher than the concern about poverty or social inequalities, unemployment, global warming global or Covid-22, depending on the survey.

Richard Attias, Executive Director of the FII Institute, said: “This is a landmark survey that should set off alarm bells for governments around the world. These results show that citizens around the world are very concerned about rising costs of living. We are giving them the roadmap to address these concerns.”
The survey further revealed that while African citizens from high-income countries and have a negative outlook on their personal future and that of their country , citizens of emerging Asian countries, such as China , India and Saudi Arabia, are much more optimistic.
The results of the survey were released at the FII Institute Priority Summit held in New York City on 22 September 2022 in conjunction with Assembly week General Assembly of the United Nations (UNGA), which hosted important speakers from around the world to discuss pressing issues and find solutions that help world leaders address the priorities of their citizens.
“Our mission at the FII Institute is to identify the global challenges facing humanity and find practical solutions to help leaders and decision makers overcome them. That is why we have held this important Priority Summit in New York during the week that the United Nations General Assembly meets,” said Attias.
The FII Institute commissioned the survey with the aim to identify the top priority of people across a wide range of demographics. The survey results were analyzed during the summit by leading experts who emphasized the need for global action to address the top priority of people.
The countries that participated in the survey were: France, UK, Germany, Italy, USA, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, China, India, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and South Africa. For more details enter here.
