The New York Police Department released a disturbing video of a sexual assault in Chinatown that occurred last weekend while waiting to obtain information from the public to capture the attacker.
Officials stated that the suspect sexually assaulted a woman, of 24 years, after cornering her and pinning her against the wall of an apartment building near Market Street and Madison Street. The attack took place on September 24 around 8: 30 of the night.
In the video from the security cameras, part of the attack can be seen where the unidentified man forcefully kisses the victim and gropes her before fleeing the scene. Authorities said he had followed the woman into the building.
The sex offender was last seen walking towards Catherine Street, police described him as a male who is approximately 5ft 6in and weighs about 160 pounds.
He has a medium build, medium complexion and is bald, he was dressed in a beige New York Yankees cap, a plaid shirt with a collar, a light-colored sweater, blue jeans and black shoes .
