However, the Argentine has made the decision to put an end to his career as a professional soccer player at his 34 years old. All this after fulfilling his word that when he made the decision to retire, he would announce it himself.

His goodbye to him will take place officially when the current MLS season with Inter Miami. Said club had the opportunity to celebrate their goals in 26 opportunities during three long campaigns.

“The day has come to say goodbye to football, a profession that has given me so much and I feel privileged to have experienced it with its good and not so good moments”, commented the Argentine striker at a press conference.

“Grateful to the club because thanks to them we fulfilled the long-awaited dream that the family had and especially my mother”, continued the number ten of a team that took him in after a long career in Europe.

Likewise, the “ Pipita” beyond ending his career as an active player, did not hide his desire to continue contributing to the success of Inter Miami. In fact, it would be very special for him to close his career with a new title.

“All work has a reward, it’s my turn at the most important moment of the season, to be able to help the team and be at a step from being able to qualify for the playoffs. My greatest motivation is to help my teammates, it would be the most beautiful gift that I could have as a player to retire champion with them”, continued the Argentine.
