Alabama authorities are currently investigating a double homicide that took place in the building 119 The Park at Hoover Apartment Community.

The Hoover Police Department identified Daxton Elliot Keith, of 21 years, as the prime suspect in the murders of Lauren Anne White, of 39 years old and Blakeley Meachelle Nelson, of 24 years. The man was charged with two counts of capital murder.

White and Nelson, who resided at The Park at Hoover complex, were pronounced dead at the scene at 8: 11 in the morning. Both were fatally shot.

The police officers received a call around 7: 52 on Saturday morning from a witness who said he had found two people possibly deceased in the apartment .

The investigators were able to quickly determine Keith as the main suspect in fact, since he was an acquaintance of both victims, who was arrested on the block 7777 from the highway 119 in Alabaster at 3: 30 in the afternoon of approximately October 1

The man is behind bars at the Hoover City Jail and is He will be booked into the Jefferson County Jail.

Court records show that Keith pleaded guilty in the year 2021 to robbery in third grade. His parole was revoked in June this year after a judge found that he had removed the electronic monitoring device from him.

On August 8, the suspect was arrested on the revocation charge and was held in the Jefferson County Jail through August 31.

Hoover police detectives and crime scene technicians are working on the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the case. Alabama authorities say the victims were targeted specifically.
