The Sunday victory 20-20 of the NY Jets at the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers ended in tragedy after a young fan of 27 years old fatally fell from an escalator inside the stadium.

Police and EMS paramedics responded to the incident inside the football Acrisure Stadium around 4: 45 Sunday pm, reported Fox News.

Paramedics provided emergency care at the scene and They transported the man in critical condition to a local hospital where he later died, the Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety said. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as Dalton Ryan Keane, a young father of 24 years, a resident of Monaca, a community along the Ohio River about 27 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Mobile Crime Unit responded to the stadium and authorities were investigating whether the death was accidental or arson. “The cause and manner of death, including toxicology results, will come from the medical examiner,” Pittsburgh Public Safety spokeswoman Amanda Mueller was quoted as saying by TribLive.com.

“We are aware of an unfortunate incident that occurred inside Acrisure Stadium today,” the NFL Steelers team said in a statement. “We are working with the local authorities and assisting in their investigation into the matter. We send our thoughts and prayers to the guest’s family.”

In a similar case, in August of 2022 an executive of the liquor industry of 46 years old died after falling from a balcony during a concert at Citi Field, the home stadium of the NY Mets in Queens.
