miguel-cabrera-on-being-in-the-world-classic:-“i-am-proud-to-represent-venezuela-again”

Miguel Cabrera will once again be on the field in the uniform of Venezuela to seek the long-awaited reign of the world and even more so now that he will be alongside a group of players who, today, are the best in each one of their positions.

After announcing this Tuesday his presence in the World Baseball Classic, the Maracay native was quick to show his pride in defending the colors of his country in a contest that will take place in the first quarter of 2023.

“I am proud to once again represent Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic. I am excited to be part of a team that will have the best players who are representing our country in the Major Leagues”, commented Miguel Cabrera.

“I know it’s been a long time since the last edition of this tournament and the wait is over. However, I am also aware of the high level of players and coaches who are going to be part of this team, being with them and putting on our jersey again fills me with pride”, continued the Maracay native.

The words of the star of the Detroit Tigers are about the great talent of the current baseball players who were born in Venezuela and who will be present in most of the titles of the contest. However, Cabrera pays no attention to this and is willing to help the team in any role.

“I’m going to be there with them, supporting them and helping them in any way. I am going to contribute to the Venezuelan team in any of the roles that the manager decides”, concluded the star player who will have the number behind his back.

Finally, it should be noted that Venezuela will be present in the same group with Republic Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Israel, which is called the one of death. That is why the red wine of baseball will seek to have the best pieces to finish with a better result.
