The parents of the suspect of trying to kidnap a 10 year-old girl in Colorado were the ones who handed the man over to the Police.
The Judicial District Attorney’s Office 17 proceeded with the charges against Diego James Gettler, of 23 years, last Friday thanks to the help of the man’s parents.
According to information released by the Thornton Police Department, the family recognized Gettler’s car in the images of surveillance disclosed by the authorities in the area of the events.
Officers from the aforementioned department, responded to the crime scene at STEM Launch K-8 at about 7: 30 am on 23 September after the victim reported that the man grabbed her outside the school while she was arriving.
The minor struggled with the suspect and he left the area. Last Monday, the parents went to the police station to tell investigators that they believed the man in the photos was his son. The investigation subsequently located Gettler’s cell phone around the school at the time of the incident.
Authorities found it at Home Depot.
The next court hearing in the case is scheduled for tomorrow.
