The Mexican fighter Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez was seen this Sunday for the first time in a gym after having undergone surgery on his left hand, in an injury that worsened after the fight against Gennady Golovkin.
The person in charge of making the news known was fellow boxer Óscar Valdez who, through a photo published on social networks, appeared with Canelo Álvarez himself.
“Without boxing there is no life”, was the comment that Valdez added to his post made on Twitter where he also tagged his countryman.
In the photo, Canelo Álvarez does not show his affected hand and at the moment it is unknown if he is still resting or if, on the contrary, he decided to leave the medical rest and travel to the training facilities of Eddy Reynoso in California.
The boxer had undergone surgery last 26 October after having postponed his operation for a few months in the face of an ideal preparation for his confrontation with Golovkin.
Now we will have to wait to find out from Canelo himself when he will return to the ring, including a hypothetical rematch against Dmitry Bivol, with whom he fell last May.
