huge-“potentially-dangerous”-asteroid-will-pass-close-to-earth-on-halloween

A large asteroid considered “potentially dangerous” will cross Earth’s orbit during the celebration of Halloween and All Saints’ Day, precisely on November 1, according to the Center for Near Earth Object Studies (Cneos, for its acronym in English) of NASA.

With a diameter between 500 and 740 meters (similar to the height of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai), this rocky object called 2022 RM4 will pass close to Earth at an impressive speed of 84,330 km/h.

According to Cneos calculations, the closest that 2022 RM4 will be to Earth is about 2.3 million kilometers, that is, about six times the average distance between the Earth and the Moon, which is considered a small cosmic margin.
