The rapper Kanye West faced the controversies he has been involved in in recent weeks, and before the cameras of several international media he apologized for the accusations he made against George Floyd. He also stated that he never imagined that his comments about Jews were anti-Semitic.
According to information from the Daily Mail, Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband approached the paparazzi to say that he feels humiliated and to apologize for saying that George Floyd, a man killed by police officers in Minneapolis whose death sparked a movement against racism and abuse of power, died of an overdose and not at the hands of a police officer.
During conversation with the photographers, the rapper said he even had no idea he was being anti-Semitic for his comments about Jews. As a consequence, he shared with the paparazzi that he feels sorry for the situation.
“When I questioned the death of George Floyd, I hurt my people. I want to apologize. Because God has shown me, by what Adidas is doing, by what the media is doing, what it feels like to have a knee on my neck now,” West said, according to the Daily Mail. famous went on to say that he learned his lesson, however, he said he felt humiliated by the cancellation of contracts he had with various companies just for giving a comment.
“So thank God for humiliating me and letting me know how it feels. Because how could you humiliate the richest black men other than making them not billionaires in front of everyone just for one comment?“.
The false accusation made by Kanye West against George Floyd was accompanied by a t-shirt he wore during the Fashion Week in Paris, which had a print of the phrase “White Lives Matter”, making a contrary reference to “Black Lives Matter”, a movement unleashed for the human rights of African-American people.
Recently, the family of George Floyd sued “Ye” for his comments, for which they are fighting legally to obtain compensation for the approximate damage of $250 millions of dollars.
