Major League Baseball is a sport that many enjoy both on and off the field. Where players are reunited with their fans, with former teammates or former coaches; being this one of the most important and that will always be remembered for all eternity.
Héctor Neris, is one of those players who is living a dream, since he is playing his first World Series in his nine-season career in the Majors. Although, unfortunately, he is facing his former organization, the Philadelphia Phillies.
Even so, the Dominican pitcher from 33 years, he is enjoying every moment and each of the two commitments of the Fall Classic to the fullest, since he has had the opportunity to talk with his former teammates.
“Anything can happen in this world. I spent 12 years with this team, my entire career. And now, it’s fun for me to be on a different team and think about a World Series,” Héctor Neris told the Majors.
“Being part of this bullpen is incredible. When you look at the staff we have, we can support the game in any situation. Anyone can get into any situation, “added the veteran Dominican reliever.
Likewise, Neris’s experience and his level of veteran have served him to maintain a single line in terms of the level professional about him. On the other hand, facing his previous teammates has not been an impediment to speak highly of them.
“It was like 12 years with these guys. We never stop communicating. They call me when they need something, when they need to talk to me. Just because this happened, to play as opponents in the World Series, that’s not supposed to end”, concluded the reliever.
Finally, Neris set a record of (21-29) with 599 prescribed batters in 473 innings pitched in eight seasons in baseball Major League Baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies. In addition to finishing with an effectiveness of 3.42 and 84 saved.
