Bronny James, son of NBA star and Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James, experienced stressful scenes this weekend after a friendly game he was playing in Washington was suddenly stopped due to the suspicion that one of the present had a firearm.
While facing Sierra Canyon, Bronny’s team, against DeMatha as part of an exhibition in Washington last Saturday, a fan recorded the moment in which both groups and fans in the stands ran to take cover in case of shots.
According to reports of those who said they were present at the meeting, an altercation in a section of the stands presumably ended with one of them pulling out a firearm as a threat.
This alleged action would have made headlines throughout the pavilion and for that reason both fans, players and coaching staff of both teams ran scared to the locker room.
The event ended the game immediately when there were more than two minutes left to play and later it was learned that Bronny James and his entourage took shelter inside the hotel in Washington healthy and safe.
Hours later, the son of the Angelina legend took to his social networks to tell how he felt about what he suffered.
“High school students or they can’t even play in peace today“, Bronny wrote through a story on his official Instagram account.
According to police sources there was an exhaustive search inside and outside the pavilion and although they searched for the alleged they did not get a firearm.
Despite the closeness of the match that Bronny James’ team dominated 52-51, decided not to complete the match the following day.
Bronny James is one of the main basketball prospects in the United States and it is expected that he will be present in the next NBA draft so that his father LeBron James can play with him on the court itself and thus fulfill one of his dreams.
