The Uruguayan central defender, Ronald Araujo, experienced moments of terror this Monday when he left the Ciudad Deportiva of FC Barcelona, after his morning training session with the team.
When the player was about to leave the Barça venue, he stopped for a few moments to interact with several fans who stopped him to ask for photos and autographs.
There were more than 10 people surrounding Araujo’s vehicle and when he started to put it in motion to leave the place, he stepped on the foot of a fan with a wheel.
The victim began to scream and said: “You crushed my foot”. The footballer, disconcerted by what had happened, remained motionless and seconds later the car continued to move.
Some thought that he was leaving the place, but that was not the case. Araujo pulled over to his car and got out to see how the lady was doing.
After speaking with her, he coordinated with the security officers to attend to her and left the place to the applause of those present.
