for-the-first-time-in-72-years,-the-world-series-does-not-have-african-american-players.

This World Series of Major League Baseball (MLB) has a very particular factor, and that is that for the first time in more than seven decades it will not have African-American players in its games.

The teams that compete in the Major Leagues do have black players, but they are Latin American.

The absence of black baseball players this season has been a constant, according to a study by the Institute for the Diversity and Ethics in Sport from the University of Central Florida.

On Opening Day, only 7.2% of the players were African-American, this being the lowest percentage in the record since 39, when black players were around 18% in the MLB.

Another figure to highlight in the report is that Latin Americans represent almost 30% of all MLB players.

This highlights the important strength that Afro-Latino players represent in MLB, although the report did not include an estimate of how many of them there are.

It is worth noting that almost all MLB clubs have players Latinos of color, both on their rosters and their academies.

In fact, this year the favorite to win American League Rookie of the Year is Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rod ríguez, a young man of 21 years old, a native of the Dominican Republic.

It should also be noted that the resurgence of the San Diego Padres comes thanks to players like Juan Soto and Robert Suárez.

And if we talk about the performance of Afro-Latinos during the playoffs, we must also value the work of Cuban Yordan Álvarez with the Houston Astros, and the Dominican Oscar González of the Cleveland Guardians.
