johnny-depp-surprises-with-his-character-of-louis-xv-for-his-new-movie

A new photo in which Johnny Depp is seen transformed into Louis XV for his new movie, was revealed this Tuesday; in it you can see a realistic costume and makeup. In the image shown today you can see her face from the front in a more sober makeup, standing holding a scepter.

“(The shooting took) 11 weeks in places that include the Palace of Versailles and other castles in the Paris region, as well as in the studio” wrote the site Deadline about the making of the film.

The production focuses on the story of ‘Jeanne du Barry’, the last royal mistress of Louis XV at the court of Versailles, who was born the illegitimate daughter of a seamstress, but used her intelligence and beauty to rise to high society in Paris of the century 18, generating a scandal within the court.

Jeanne du Barry became the favorite companion of Louis XV and they fell in love madly.

The direction of the film is by Maïwenn who she also plays the title role of Jeanne du Barry and co-wrote the screenplay with Teddy Lussi-Modeste. This will be her sixth feature film, although she has already won the Jury Prize at Cannes 2011 for ‘Polisse’.

In August the first image of Johnny Depp characterized as Louis XV in which heavy makeup, hat and wig according to the time were visible, however his full face was not shown.

The film, which represents Depp’s return to the cinema after the trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, still does not have a release date, it is in the post-production stage and is expected to be released in mid 2023 .
