While the protagonist of ‘Pretty Woman’ said with a smile: “Your investigation is very good”, before revealing the reason why Martin and Coretta covered the bill, since their parents could not pay it.

“My parents had a theater school in Atlanta called ‘Actors and Writers Workshop’, and one day a Coretta called my mother and asked her if her children could be part of the school because she was having a hard time finding a place. And my mom said, ‘Sure, come on.’ So they all became friends,” Julia recounted.

So, when the time came, the King family was more than happy to help the Robertses.

“We didn’t have the money to pay the hospital bills. They helped us out of a jam”
