The well-known Amazon Music platform presented the second part of the documentary ?La Cuna del Dembow?, which was filmed in the Dominican Republic under the direction of Rodrigo Films and executive producer Jessy Terrero, and which tries to explain the influence that in Caribbean culture the dembow movement and how it came to be.
Directly from those who experienced its rise first hand, ?The Cradle of Dembow? It is like a window of approach on how new talent is born in the different neighborhoods of the world, making the Dominican Republic the protagonist.

The explosion of the Dominican dembow and its growth has been one of the constants of recent years as far as urban music is concerned. The genre has achieved enormous popularity, being a must at parties and, of course, on the charts.
?I remember hearing comments that ?dembow won’t become global until the Dominicans change the jargon, nobody understands us?, and in the end I think that is what is giving the best results worldwide?, says the global superstar Bad Bunny in an exclusive interview for the shooting.

Other of the artists who offer their testimony about the meaning of the dembow is Kiko El Crazy, who says: ?When you do a dembow you live it and enjoy it, and people will enjoy it as well?.
The second part addresses the globalization of gender and the discrimination it has faced due to its humble origins. The breakdown of its formula from the rhythms and types of dembow, the inspiration behind the lyrics, which most of its exponents agree are based on their lived experiences, and a tribute to the women who make their way in a space dominated by men and create new spaces for future generations.
It will be interesting to see how their own protagonists and stars of yesterday and today describe these stories through their eyes.
