The ALDI supermarket chain is preparing to offer better prices on Thanksgiving Day products, this in order to counteract the inflation that has been on the rise.

ALDI announced which is giving discounts on Thanksgiving staples to match the prices of 2019, as reported in The New York Post.

This means that, starting Wednesday, holiday food, including appetizers, desserts, side dishes, and drinks, will be discounted until 23 % as part of their ‘Thanksgiving Price Rewind’ promotion.

“Providing amazing products at the absolute lowest prices is what we’ve always done, and we know that’s more important than ever right now,” said Dave Rinaldo, president of ALDI in United States.

According to the consumer price index r, the cost of food was up 11.2% in September from a year earlier. However, the category of food at home, which is the food that is bought in ALDI stores, showed an increase of 13%.

ALDI, which has 2,200 stores in 38 states, said that, with this action, wants to continue being the leader in low prices in all the communities in which it has a presence, regardless of the problems that are happening in the world that affect the economy.
